Some of them we get to hear, others we can only guess at. Every character, whether they’re main or side, has a tale to tell. Let’s start with the sheer amount of converging story lines in this book. I do want to mention several things, however. I don’t want to drop any spoilers here, because I know how hard it is to resist reading them about a book you’ve been waiting for. I’m changed for having read it.Įven under dire circumstances, there is a unique pleasure in introducing the bizarre and inconceivable to others. I don’t think a book has touched me this deeply in quite a long time.

I’m so unbelievably grateful to the author for writing this and letting other people experience her amazing world. This is one of those books that has you walking around in a fairy-tale-haze days, possibly even weeks, later. Where’s all the magic? Why aren’t more people blue? Everything just seems so mundane and ordinary. Sometimes, when you finish a book, there’s those few minutes when you can’t quite come to terms with the real world anymore. I’m so happy to say that Muse of Nightmares was lives up to all of them! If the first book has been amazing-which I think we can all agree Strange the Dreamer was-then there’s a hell of a lot of expectations to live up to.
